Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. You will also engage with pet owners to provide excellent customer service and educate them on proper pet care practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling pets according to breed standards and owner preferences.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all animals during grooming sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grooming area, including tools and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs, behaviour, and any observed health issues.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns in a friendly manner.
- Handle pets safely and confidently, including those that may be anxious or difficult to manage.
- Assist in the care of animals in the facility, including feeding, walking, and general animal care as needed.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of animal care practices and grooming techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and handling of various breeds of pets.
- Familiarity with veterinary practices is a plus, as it enhances understanding of pet health needs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Patience and compassion towards animals, ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
