Our nurturing environment is open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, ensuring that every child receives the attention and support they need to thrive.
Summary
We are seeking a passionate Cook to join our team at Bright Beginnings Day Nursery. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals for our children, ensuring that all food safety standards are met. Your culinary skills will contribute significantly to the health and well-being of our young learners.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook healthy meals and snacks for children in accordance with dietary guidelines.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained in the kitchen.
- Plan menus that cater to the nutritional needs of children.
- Collaborate with staff to accommodate any special dietary requirements or allergies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
Requirements
- Experience as a Cook prefered, but not essential as training will be given.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to prepare a variety of nutritious meals suitable for young children.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A passion for working with children and contributing to their health and well-being.

We are looking for two part time cooks to work alongside each other, one cook will work 9.00am - 13:00pm and the other will work 10.30am until 14:30pm, We can put some flexibility around these hours
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 18 per week
