We are looking to expand our team within the midlands by adding additional painters & decorators.
The majority of the work will be on occupied properties in and around Nottingham, and will involve treating damp/ mould and then re-emulsioning the effect areas. You will receive a list of address to attend each week, and produce a short report upon completion.
This is a temporary self-employed position (leading to a full time job for the right person).
Candidates must:
- Be able to work as a team and also alone on projects
- Valid and in date CSCS card (Preferably a blue card as a minimum)
- Have their own tools & PPE
- Have own vehicle (preferably a van)
- Valid public liability
- UTR number
- Have good communication skills (English is essential)
- Have 3 years minimum painting experience
- Have a strong work ethic and take pride in what they do, as well as having an eye for detail
- Be reliable and trustworthy
Most work is based with in Nottinghamshire.
There may be periods of working away available, where a higher rate is paid.
Having the skill to do any of the following is also advantageous:
- Spraying
- Wall papering
- Coving
- Taping & jointing
Responsibilities
- Prepare and prime surfaces for painting, ensuring a smooth finish.
- Apply various types of paint using appropriate techniques and tools.
- Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness on the job site.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to understand project requirements.
- Drive to different job locations as needed, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Pay will be based on previous experience, skill set and ability.
