Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team as a room leader. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role involves fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young learners, ensuring their developmental needs are met while promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Duties
- Create and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the developmental stages of children aged 0-5 years.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their curiosity and love for learning.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall educational experience.
- Manage classroom activities, ensuring that all children are actively participating and engaged.
- Provide leadership within the team, mentoring junior staff as necessary.
- Conduct regular assessments of children's development and adapt learning strategies accordingly.
- Have a strong knowledge on safeguarding
Qualifications
- Proven experience in early childhood education or childcare settings, particularly in a nursery environment.
- Strong management and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their individual needs.
- Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting children or attending off-site activities.
