Painter

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial painting, with a strong understanding of color theory and construction practices. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on various projects. The Painter will work closely with other construction professionals to deliver exceptional results on time. Must have own tools, transport and cherry picker license

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks.
• Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements.
• Estimate materials needed for projects and assist in construction estimating.
• Collaborate with team members on renovation and remodeling projects.
• Perform plastering, caulking, and trim carpentry as needed to achieve desired finishes.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition; utilize power tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards on construction sites.
• Execute industrial painting tasks as required by specific projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience in residential and commercial painting.
• Strong knowledge of color theory and application techniques.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying equipment.
• Experience in construction site environments with an understanding of safety protocols.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
• Basic math skills for estimating materials and measurements.
• Knowledge of plastering, stucco application, masonry, concrete finishing, and restoration techniques is preferred.
• Maintenance Person experience with skills in carpentry (frame carpentry and trim carpentry) is a plus.

Pay: £18.00 per hour
