About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and trustworthy Painter & Decorator with handyman skills to join our team in refurbishing void properties and bringing them up to Decent Homes Standard, ready for re-occupation. The first assignment will be the refurbishment of a 3-bedroom house, starting in early September, with potential for further ongoing work.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out full internal and external decorations, including surface preparation, painting, and finishing to a high standard.
- Undertake minor carpentry and handyman tasks, such as repairing skirting boards, fitting door furniture, and making good.
- Prepare void properties for re-occupation in line with Decent Homes standards.
- Work safely and efficiently, maintaining a clean and tidy work environment.
- Liaise with supervisors and team members to ensure works are completed on time.
- Maintain good communication and professionalism when working on-site.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a painter & decorator, with additional handyman/carpentry skills.
- Ability to work independently and to deadlines.
- High attention to detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship.
- Understanding of health & safety requirements on site.
- Own tools desirable (but not essential).
- Own vehicle and drivers license desirable (but not essential)
- Must be reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
