Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Paediatric complex Care Assistant (Must be a driver) to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a positive environment for those in your care. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both clients and team members are crucial for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Must be a driver – any license.
- Paediatric and Nasogastric feeding experience required.
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals with mobility and daily living activities to promote independence.
- Implement and follow care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Engage clients in social activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment by following health and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients.
- Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with clients and team members.
- Basic IT skills are necessary for maintaining records and documentation.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with clients and their families.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is crucial for this role.
