Optical Assistant / Dispensing Optician – Independent Practice (London - Finchley)

Salary: £23,500 – £28,000 per annum (commensurate with experience)

Key Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Welcome and assist patients, ensuring a seamless and comfortable experience throughout their visit.
- Pre-Screening: Conduct preliminary eye tests and assessments prior to the optometrist's examination .
- Dispensing: Advise patients on frame and lens selections tailored to their lifestyle, prescription, and aesthetic preferences.
- Adjustments & Repairs: Fit, adjust, and repair spectacles to ensure optimal comfort and vision correction.
- Administrative Duties: Manage appointment bookings, patient records, and handle inquiries both in-person and over the phone.
- Collaboration: Work closely with optometrists and other team members to deliver comprehensive eye care services.
Qualifications & Experience
- Optical Assistant: Minimum of 1 year experience in an optical setting, with proficiency in dispensing and pre-screening procedures .
- Dispensing Optician: Qualified and registered with the General Optical Council (GOC), with experience in high-end or independent practices .
- Skills: Strong communication abilities, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with advanced optical equipment and software systems.
