Job description
Our Operational Learning Practitioner will be:
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to complete the full learning cycle, from the identification of learning needs and desired outcomes, to the design and development of a range of blended learning solutions including; classroom and virtual delivery and e-learning packages, that align to the 70:20:10 learning model.
- Delivering our training programmes to groups of varying sizes this will involve everything from large group presentations and training sessions to post-training support.
- Contributing to the successful implementation of new legislation and changes to our systems, by working with project teams to deliver new polices, processes and learning solutions.
- Introducing a range of tools and techniques to encourage people to share knowledge and self-learn.
Person specification
Were looking for an Operational Learning Practitioner who:
- Have a passion for and experience of working within learning and development - including enjoying learning new things themselves and who are proactive about their own professional development.
- Are confident, enthusiastic communicators - to build strong and trusted working relationships with others and be comfortable presenting and facilitating best-in-class learning across a range of stakeholders and group sizes.
- Can create and evaluate engaging learning programmes that cater for all learning styles.
- Have good attention to detail to think through details and impacts with a critical eye to focus on what really matters.
- Are independent and organised - taking responsibility to meet deadlines and are flexible to respond to emerging issues and changing priorities.
- Take initiative and enjoy working as part of a team to achieve common goals.
- Have good IT knowledge including being able to build and maintain SharePoint sites and to use Office 365 applications especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Where will you be working?
This role is a hybrid role that will be aligned to our Cardiff office as this is where the team are based. Due to the nature of the role, you will need to attend our Cardiff office for up to 5 days per week depending on business need. As a hybrid worker, when business need allows, you may be able to work partly from the office and partly from your home.

In your application form wed like you to:

- Wed like you to write a personal statement of 1000 words where you show us evidence of all of the elements of the person specification.
- We will be sifting looking through your application for evidence of all the elements of the person specification, so we'd encourage you to include evidence of as many of them as you can throughout your application and especially in your personal statement.
Companies House uses a blended interview technique, allowing us to find out more about you. We use the Success Profile framework and at interview we will use Success Profiles assessing the Behaviours listed in the advert and Strengths.

What will the process look like?
- Well sift all applications this involves reading through them all, please bear with us as this can take some time. We may raise the score required at sift stage to progress to interview if we receive a high number of applications.
- Interviews will be held in person at our Cardiff Office.
- There will be an activity as part of the interview - this will be a mini-teach activity which we will ask you to prepare in advance and deliver at the start of your interview.
- We'll sift all applications we receive in early-July and anticipate holding interviews in mid-July with results shared with all candidates in mid/late-July. We anticipate this role starting from August onwards. Please bear in mind these dates might need to change - we will keep you informed as you move through the process.
- Our interviews will include Success Profiles behaviour and strength based questions.
