Job Overview:
The Office Administrator will be responsible for a wide range of administrative duties, including managing office functions, handling correspondence, and organising the engineers’ schedules. This role is central to ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- General office administration including answering calls, responding to emails, and managing incoming/outgoing post
- Scheduling and coordinating diaries for the engineering team, including job appointments and site visits
- Liaising with clients to confirm appointments and provide updates
- Maintaining and updating job records, databases, and documentation
- Ordering office and site supplies and managing stock levels
- Preparing invoices, purchase orders, and other basic financial documents
- Supporting the management team with ad hoc administrative tasks
- Ensuring the office environment is organised and operating efficiently
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an office administration role (experience in a construction or trade environment is a plus)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, professional, and proactive attitude
Desirable:
- Familiarity with scheduling software or CRM systems
- Understanding of electrical or construction industry workflows
