Established for over 20 years we are an accredited asbestos consultancy based near Newick, East Sussex. Our rural office offers plenty of parking and an excellent working environment. Own transport is essential due to our location. Due to an increasing workload we are introducing a new office administration position to join our friendly and professional team. Many of our staff have been with the company for 10+ years, which we hope is testament to the working environment we provide.
Responsibilities:
- You will be the first point of contact for many new and existing clients. You will need to be highly confident on the phone, with a professional and friendly phone etiquette. For existing clients you will be required to direct their calls accordingly. For new clients, the sales process and the building of a good rapport starts from the moment the phone is answered. You will then be responsible for taking their details and completing our online enquiry form in detail. Once quotations have been issued you will be responsible for contacting clients to follow them up if we have not heard back. - Our surveyors have to re-inspect thousands of asbestos items on an annual basis, the details of which are held in our database. The position will involve developing the re-inspection database and then being responsible for ensuring its smooth running. This will require being highly organised, with the ability to develop the excel database and then contact clients by email and phone to arrange the re-inspections.
- Every month there will be a small number of clients that need chasing for outstanding payments. The role will include phoning them to obtain a payment date, requiring a firm but friendly phone etiquette. - The majority of our staff have a company credit card. The role will include collecting receipts from all members of staff and then collating them against the credit card statements so they can be entered into the accounts. - We run a fleet of vehicles and the role will involve renewing tax and MOT's, in addition to booking servicing and repairs as required.
- You will need to be able to send emails in a professional and courteous manner to clients and staff.
- Knowledge of asbestos is not required and training will be given where applicable.
Skills:
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain and update databases with new information
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Proficient working with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work as part of a team but also independently
- Enthusiastic and keen to learn and grow within the business
Salary is based on experience and we will consider trainees with an excellent work ethic and the ability to learn.
We offer 25 days annual leave (five of which are included within our Christmas shutdown period) in addition to bank holidays.
