We are looking for an enthusiastic person, meticulous by nature who is able to maintain a high level of attention to detail to join the Community Dermatology Service.
This is a varied role incorporating a range of duties. The successful candidate will require strong IT skills and will provide administrative and secretarial support for the service.
Duties including handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, scheduling appointments, responding to tasks from other clinicians and non-clinical staff, managing the daily patient’s lists, responding to patients on the phone and on email at the same time maintaining total confidentiality.
Previous experience in an administrative role is preferred but not essential, full training will be provided.
This is a demanding but rewarding role that would best suit a self-motivated and driven individual with a keen eye for detail.

Location: Buckden Surgery, occasional cover at additional locations such as Hinchingbrooke Hospital. Opportunity to work from home.
Hours: Part-time, permanent (Flexible) 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The occasional Saturday morning is required.
Reports to: Dermatology Secretary Team Leader and the Practice Management Team.

Minimum requirements:
· Strong IT / computer skills including word, outlook and excel
· Ability to communicate and support patients compassionately.
· Ability to communicate effectively with patients and carers, recognising the need for alternative levels of understanding, cultural backgrounds and preferred ways of communicating.
· Be able to demonstrate that you can work within a team.
Desirable:
· Knowledge of medical terminology.
· Previous experience of working with System One clinical system is preferred but not required.
