Early Years Classroom Support – Sheffield

If you’ve worked in early years and are ready to bring those skills into a primary school environment, this could be your next step. We’re offering full-time teaching assistant opportunities for people with nursery experience who want to explore EYFS or KS1 settings in schools across Sheffield.
Pay: £13.69 – £14.61 per hour
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Start date: Flexible
Contract type: Full-time supply (Monday to Friday)
You’ll be:
- Supporting children in Reception or Key Stage 1 classrooms
- Assisting with phonics, play-based learning and transitions
- Helping to create a calm and nurturing environment
- Working with class teachers to deliver consistent daily support
Ideal background:
- Nursery, early years, or childcare experience (formal or informal)
- A patient, engaging and supportive manner
- An interest in building a long-term career in schools
- Availability to work 5 days per week during term time
