Job Summary
We are seeking relief staff to join our team. There are a number of roles available from zero hours to part time. We're looking for qualified practitioners, unqualified and those who would like to begin the training with us. No prior experience is necessary as we will train you up but if you have experience that's a bonus to us! The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being while promoting positive learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- To support and collaborate with our super team!
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive nursery environment.
- Manage daily activities and routines, ensuring that all children receive appropriate care and attention.
- Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote early childhood development in line with the nursery's curriculum.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents on their child's development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised nursery space that meets health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team atmosphere focused on the children's best interests.
- Drive initiatives that encourage children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth through play-based learning.
Experience
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire both children and colleagues.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A passion for nurturing children's development through creative play and structured learning activities.
Job Types: Part-time, Apprenticeship, Zero hours contract
Pay: £11.68-£12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 35 per week
