Job Title: Bank Staff - Nursery Practitioner/Assistant

Hours: Flexible Working Pattern

Location: Croydon

Pay hour: Up to £13.68 per hour

Little Jannah Day care Nursery is looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Practitioner/Assistant who is enthusiastic and a passionate team player. Little Jannah Day Care Nursery is registered for 22 children per a day.

The successful candidate will have a robust knowledge of the EYFS, strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. The individual must be highly motivated, have a positive attitude towards working with children.

The ideal candidate should have experience working in an Ofsted graded "Good" or "Outstanding" setting.

Requirements:

Minimum of a relevant and recognised Level 2 or 3 qualification

Evidence of ongoing personal development training

Desire to continue with professional development

Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate (Not Mandatory)

Awareness of Health & Safety and practical Hygiene issues

Experience of working in an early year setting

Main responsibilities:

· To effectively deliver the EYFS ensuring that the individual needs and interest of children in the setting are met (in conjunction with other team members)

· To keep records of your key children’s development and learning journal and share with parents, carers and other key adults in the child’s life.

· To develop and maintain strong partnerships and communication with parents/carers to facilitate day-to-day caring and early learning needs.

· To be involved in out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, summer fayre,etc.

· To be flexible within working practices of the setting, undertaking other responsible duties where needed, such as domestic tasks, preparation of snack or meals, cleansing of equipment, etc.

Shut down over Christmas and one week in August

The nursery is open Monday to Thursdays from 7:30am to 6:00pm – 50 weeks per year. Rotating shift pattern within opening hours.
