We are looking for a dynamic and driven professional to join our NPD team on a permanent basis. This role would suit a professional with a real understanding of, and a passion for bakery.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage factory trials, capturing all relevant information, following the Délifrance NPD procedure guidelines.
- Recipe experimentation and producing concept samples.
- Liaise with Group NPD where required to gain knowledge of products, assisting with launching products.
- Support NPD projects through to launch providing factory operatives with coaching and instruction where necessary.
- Communicate with the site team, Product and Project Managers and TAM's on trials results, project updates with scheduled regular meetings.
- Work with Project and Product Managers, Operations Manager and Head of Innovation & Process Management to support in sourcing, designing and testing packaging types and materials.
- Work with Channel Development Managers, Operations Manager and Head of NPD to source, design and test packaging type and materials.
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain packaging and ingredient samples keeping up to date with the latest innovations.
Required skills and competencies:
- At least 3 years bakery industry experience
- Experience of working in a bakery manufacturing environment
- Technical understanding of the functionality of bakery ingredients
- Commercial awareness of the bakery market
- Operational and factory process experience
- Excellent organistaional skills
- IT literate – ability to use and present from Powerpoint and Excel
- Team player
- Good interpersonal skills, dealing professionally with internal and external contacts
