We are seeking a Shift Leader to join our dynamic team at Evo Personnel. This role is essential for overseeing daily operations within our client establishments, ensuring high standards of service and efficiency.
Pay rate: £14.50 per hour
Schedule: 4 nights per week (rota-based), minimum 36 hours
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the night shift team, ensuring all production targets and quality standards are consistently met.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations.
- Oversee and participate in a variety of production duties, including baking, packing, pastry work, piping, boxing, and cleaning.
- Plan and manage shift rotas, ensuring optimal staffing levels while controlling labour costs.
- Collaborate with other departments, including production planning and senior leadership, to align operational goals.
- Conduct regular team performance reviews, provide coaching and development, and foster a motivated, high-performing team environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or food production environment.
- Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes, food safety regulations, and bakery operations.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff and customers alike.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
