We are looking for a Night Porter to join our night team.
This is a live-out position.
Old Thorns is a four-star hotel resort in Hampshire. The hotel is easily accessible from the A3, Guildford and Portsmouth. Old Thorns offers a wide range of accommodation, conference & function facilities, health club, beauty spa, restaurants & bars, a championship golf course.
Main Responsibilities:
- To carry out night audit tasks and provide a full and thorough handover takes place at the end of the shift
- To have a good knowledge and understanding of all hotel facilities and outlets and able to answer customer queries quickly and effectively
- Undertake routine walk rounds of all areas of the hotel on a regular basis and report irregularities to the Night Manager.
- To set up conference and banqueting suites in accordance with hotel function requirements, ensuring the hotel standards are maintained
- To ensure that all front of house public areas are cleaned as per company cleaning procedures, therefore creating a professional impression to guests and employees
- To undertake room service duties when catering department is closed
- Ensure our guests receive the highest standards of service
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience within a similar role is advantageous
- Work well within a team
- Smart personal presentation and polite, attentive and friendly manner
- Have good communication skills with a good level of spoken English
- Able to deliver great customer service at all times

This is a full time position working 5 nights out of 7 on a rota basis.

Pay: Up to £27,075.00 per year
