Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals in following their care plans and maintaining their dignity.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care is provided.
- Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary, promoting healthy eating habits.
- Engage residents in social activities to enhance their quality of life and well-being.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as needed.
- Assist in covering annual leave.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is essential.
- A genuine passion for providing compassionate care and support to individuals in need.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents and colleagues.
- Ability to follow care plans accurately and adapt to changing needs of residents.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents when required.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using electronic systems are desirable.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and training in the field of care.
