Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with the ability to fabricate and install various structures and fixtures. This role requires proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality workmanship. The Joiner will be responsible for working on diverse projects contributing to the overall success of our construction efforts.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and install wooden structures such as doors, windows, and frameworks.
- Perform roofing tasks, ensuring proper installation and maintenance.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively and safely to complete tasks.
- Plumb installations accurately to meet specifications.
- Carry out painting and finishing work to enhance the appearance of completed projects.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter in a similar role is essential.
- Familiarity with joinery techniques and materials is required.
- Experience in roofing or related fields is advantageous.
- Proficient in using various hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to read technical drawings and plans accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
