Job Summary
We are looking for experienced and versatile Multi-Trade Operatives to join our growing team in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled tradespeople who can deliver high-quality work across a range of building disciplines, including carpentry, plastering, tiling, painting, and minor plumbing or electrical work.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a wide variety of building maintenance and refurbishment tasks
- Perform multi-trade work such as:
- Carpentry (first and second fix)
- Plastering and patch repair
- Tiling (floor and wall)
- Painting and decorating
- Minor plumbing (e.g., fixing leaks, installing fixtures)
- Basic electrical works (e.g., replacing sockets, light fittings)
- Read and follow construction drawings or specifications
- Work independently or within a team to complete tasks to a high standard
- Ensure work is carried out safely and meets regulatory requirements
- Report progress and communicate effectively with site supervisors/project managers
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in multi-trade roles
- Competence in at least 2–3 core trades (e.g. carpentry, plastering, tiling)
- NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in relevant trades (preferred but not essential)
- Valid CSCS card (mandatory)
- Own tools and reliable transport (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and adapt to different site conditions
