Role Summary
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday (with rotating weekend shifts – approx. 1 day every 6 weeks)
- Reports To: Sales Director
- Holiday: 28 days (inclusive of Bank Holidays) + Birthday Day Off
- Training: Full Training Provided
Our Mortgage Admin Assistant is responsible largely for supporting the Mortgage Advisers. Daily duties will include assisting them with both outbound prospecting calls and the day-to-day administration of clients and their documentation. This role will provide an excellent foundation for you to progress to the role of Trainee Mortgage Adviser and allow you to be fully equipped with all of the skills needed to perform the job.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Outbound prospecting calls to Initial Stage and Active Prospect clients, with a particular focus on re-mortgage clients.
- Handling inbound calls from clients and leads and where necessary completing basic Fact-Finding information.
- Organising, monitoring and reporting on month to month re-mortgage process.
- Requesting and checking documents from clients, before packaging and uploading correctly onto our online portal.
- Offering guidance to clients on the correct documents they need to provide and how these should be formatted.
- Assisting and completing AML checks.
- Conducting research of lender criteria and affordability for specific cases.
- Liaising with other stakeholders to obtain any relevant information or updates i.e. Developers, Estate Agents, Solicitors.
- Assisting in the completion of third-party forms i.e. Shared Ownership applications.
- Assisting with Compliance checking and mortgage applications
What We’re Looking For:
- MINIMUM one year experience in financial services or adjacent industries (banks, building societies or estate agents).
- Exceptional organisational skills.
- CeMap preferred or you have a goal to work towards a CeMap.
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of both internal and external stakeholders.
- Must show initiative and a strong appetite to problem solve.
- Ability to learn on the job and retain knowledge of lender criteria.
