Job description
We are looking for SIA licenced staff to work as Security Officers for a Fixed term contract in Perranporth. Due to the nature of the site you must hold a Door Supervisor licence or above, we cannot accept a Security Guard licence.
Responsibilities include:
- Patrolling Perranporth boating lake, pubs, etc, also looking in at the skatepark to move on any late-night skaters
-Cash collection - as and when required. Bringing cash and a relevant cash report from the machine to the Parish offices and waiting for the counting to be signed off by the Finance Officer.
- Conduct regular inspections of the area to identify any safety hazards or violations
- Provide assistance to visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of all security-related activities
Requirements:
- Valid Door Supervisor SIA licence
- Proven work experience as a Security Officer or similar role
-Basic level of Computer Literacy
- Familiarity with emergency procedures and first aid techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
- Basic Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
This role is specifically Friday and Saturday evenings 18:00 - 00:30.
Whilst this role is advertised as a Fixed term contract, we do have an ongoing need for staff at other sites across Cornwall as well so please do get in touch if you are interested in other roles aside from this or would be interested in working different sites once this role has ended.
