MIG Welder/Fabricator

INTRODUCTION: Universal Services are an Essex based company near Maldon and have been established for over 40 years. We are a leading manufacturer and installers of sports hall, gymnasium, and physical education equipment, as well as manufacturing trampolines and a range of portable sports equipment we also carry out full maintenance contracts.
We are looking for a MIG Welder / Fabricator to join our team
Welder responsibilities:
- Compliance with Health & Safety & Environmental procedures and responsibilities
- Complete objectives and targets and reporting to team supervisor
- Maintaining the current high-quality standards
- Completion of jobs on time ready for despatch
- Perform other duties as required to assist the smooth running of the organisation
- Participate in continuous improvement activities within company
The successful candidate should have the following skills and qualities:
- Adaptable to day-to-day work changes
- Must be an experienced MIG Weld and ideally certified but not essential
- Ability to read from drawings (however most work is jigged)
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Physically fit
- Good working attitude
Previous experience essential, although internal training will be given.
Monday to Friday – 7.00am to 3.30pm - 40 hours per week
Holiday Entitlement: 28 days per year (Including Bank Holidays)
