Welder/Fabricator Opportunity in Kendal
A well-established engineering firm in Kendal is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join the team.
Location: Kendal Type: Full-time, permanent (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM)
What you’ll do
- Design and manufacture bespoke components and short production runs
- Operate workshop machinery and hand tools
- Assemble and fit fabricated parts
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to technical specifications
- May contribute to development and prototyping of new designs
What we’re looking for
- NVQ Level 2 in welding (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Proficiency in general fabrication techniques and operating workshop equipment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (CAD experience is a plus)
- Basic manual machining skills are desirable
