Role Overview
As a Volunteer Mental Health Support Worker, you will work closely with our Support Services Team to provide person-centred, practical, and emotional support to tenants experiencing mental health challenges. You will play a key role in helping individuals maintain their tenancies, improve their well-being, and engage with local support networks.

Key Responsibilities
Provide regular, one-on-one support to tenants facing mental health difficulties.
Assist clients with managing day-to-day tasks such as attending appointments, accessing community services, and maintaining their accommodation.
Help tenants to develop coping strategies, build confidence, and promote independence.
Liaise with external professionals (e.g., social workers, mental health teams) under supervision.
Report any safeguarding or welfare concerns to the appropriate staff member.
Maintain accurate, confidential records of support provided.
Attend regular supervision and training sessions.

Essential:

Willingness to learn and attend training.

Previous experience in a mental health, social work, or housing support role.

Relevant qualifications or training in mental health, counselling, or social care.
