We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our healthcare team for full time/part time/ bank role. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care by creating a positive resident experience.

We’ll also train you on all aspects of our new digital care, transforming how you work, making things easier and letting you focus on care for our residents.
What does the role involve?
- Assisting residents with a high standard of social and emotional care and recognising and meeting the specific needs of residents
- Supporting residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care
- Being part of a team, supporting your colleagues.
- Monitoring our residents whilst reporting any care needs changing
- Communicating with residents’ families, friends and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain effective communications, both verbal and written, making accurate reports on residents and inform other members of day-to-day changes.
- Create a caring and supportive environment in which residents can reach their full potential both physically and mentally
- Ensure own and, when appropriate, other’s actions reduce risks to health and safety
- Undertake any other duties as required from time to time.
Shift Specifications :
- Day Shifts: 8:00 am to 8:00pm.
- Night Shifts: 8:00pm to 8:00pm.
- 1 hour break time (unpaid) for a 12 hour shift.
Job Requirements & Expectations:
For full-time positions you will be required to work alternate weekends as a minimum.
A minimum of 1 year experience as a support worker/care assistance working within a setting supporting individuals with Mental Health conditions is required as a minimum.
If your experience lies in a different setting a screening might be conducted prior to being selected for an interview.

About The Home:
Emerald Lodge is a beautiful brand new residential home in the sunny seaside town of Southend-On-Sea in Essex.
Emerald Lodge is just on the outside of the heart of Southend Town, far enough away from the hustle and bustle of this lovely town, but only a few minutes’ walk, if you want to take in some of the seaside fun.
This service has 9 individual bedrooms, all 9 rooms have their own private bathrooms, decorated to the highest standard, and beautiful in design. This service has 3 Ground Floor rooms, for specific mobility needs, whilst upstairs has a further 6 rooms, each room has different character and some have beautiful bay-windowed rooms.
