About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner to join the Student Services Team. You will work on the frontline of a busy and dynamic Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, supporting students in a rewarding and varied role.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering time limited mental health and wellbeing interventions for students with a wide range of psychological and emotional needs
  • Contributing to risk assessment, triage, and care planning as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Supporting the development and delivery of proactive wellbeing initiatives across the University

You will be part of a supportive, skilled team with opportunities for professional development and innovation in student mental health support.

About You

As Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner, you will have:

  • Strong risk assessment and risk management skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational ability
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • A compassionate and student-centred approach
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Relevant professional qualifications and experience in mental health or psychological wellbeing

It is important to note that the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced Child & Adult disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and that this will form part of the conditions of offer of employment.
