We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard working medical secretary to manage the administration of our GP partners within this exceptionally busy private practice on Sloane Street.
You will be responsible for providing efficient secretarial support to the wider team of GP partners and associates.
The Sloane Street Surgery is an established private general practice situated between Sloane Square and Knightsbridge. We offer high-quality private healthcare in a professional and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing all patient related information, including clinic letters, reports, referrals, appointments, admissions, and all general enquiries.
- Ensuring that all correspondence is handled within the required timeframes.
- Booking all appointments and co-ordinate imaging, pathology, or hospital appointments as required.
- Handling any outstanding invoices for patients, insurers or third parties to ensure prompt payment.
- Call handling for an exceptionally busy switchboard.
- Query and complaints handling
Requirements for this position include:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skill
- Well established numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE or equivalent, at grade C or above in Mathematics and English)
- Accurate typing
- Demonstrate a good working knowledge of windows based computer systems and be capable of using most Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Word and Outlook
- Demonstrate ability to pay good attention to detail, reliably check and record data and identify anomalies and be able to self-check completed work
- A high level of discretion
- Experience working in a medical or healthcare setting is favourable
