Brymore is a State Boarding School for boys aged 11 - 16 set in its own 60 acre site with a working farm, gardens, workshops and sports facilities which are fully utilised in the delivery of the curriculum to over 340 students of which 150 are boarders. The school is currently expanding and this is an exciting time in Brymore’s development.
Part-Time Matron
19 hours per week, 36 weeks per year (term time, plus 3 inset days and 3 end-of-term Saturdays)
Salary: BTCT Band 5, points 7-9. Actual Starting Salary: £10,339.46 per annum.
We are looking for a Part time Matron to join our team. There is potential for some flexibility on the shift patterns which can be discussed at interview with each candidate if required. Matrons’ hours include a combination of morning, afternoon and evening shifts, which also includes one Sunday duty every 4 weeks during term time (3.30pm – 9.30pm). If you wish to discuss specific working hours please contact us. The rota may be subject to reasonable change over time with consultation.
We are looking for a well organised, practical and understanding individual to join the Academy as a Part Matron who enjoys working and supporting young people in their development and ensuring their pastoral needs are met. The post consists of working with the boarding house staff to ensure the smooth running of the boarding house as well as overseeing the delivery of first aid and pastoral support to all the pupils in the school. There is no specific requirement to have previous first aid knowledge or experience to undertake this role as full training will be provided.
We are looking for an outstanding individual to ensure the full support and wellbeing of all the boys is at the heart of what we do, and to be part of a successful team.
