About the Role
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Material Controller to join our team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, managing inventory records, and supporting stock replenishment processes to ensure smooth warehouse and production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records of finished stock, parts and materials, including quantities, locations, and all stock movements in the inventory management system.
- Perform regular inventory counts, spot checks, and full stocktakes to verify inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies in collaboration with warehouse and purchasing teams.
- Liaise with purchasing, production, and planning teams to ensure timely stock replenishment.
- Liaise with quality assurance teams to ensure incoming materials meet required standards.
- Maintain proper stock storage standards.
- Organise and optimise storage areas, ensuring efficient space utilisation, correct labelling, and safe handling.
- Prepare and analyse stock reports to support decision-making and highlight inventory issues such as shortages or excess.
- Support warehouse staff with stock-related queries and provide guidance on stock handling procedures.
- Assist in developing and improving stock control processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Adhere to company Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards at all times.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or related warehouse roles.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of numerical accuracy.
- Good working knowledge of inventory management or ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Honest, reliable, and proactive with a strong work ethic.
- Forklift licence or training advantageous but not essential.
- Mandarin Chinese language skills is a MUST.
