Job Summary
Unity Education Trust (UET) are seeking a dynamic, creative and proactive Marketing and Communications Officer to join our central team who’s bursting with ideas and ready to make a real difference across our family of schools. The role plays a vital part in shaping and maintaining the public image of the organisation. This position involves developing and implementing effective communication strategies to engage with various stakeholders, including the media, clients, and the community. The ideal candidate will possess strong public relations skills and a keen understanding of effective messaging to enhance the organisation's visibility and reputation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Trust wide communication and marketing strategie.
- Create compelling content for press releases, newsletters, social media, and other communication channels.
- Lead on branding and design across the Trust.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on public perception and trends.
- Organise events to promote the organisation's mission.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
- Respond to media inquiries and manage crisis communications when necessary.
Skills
- Proven experience in public relations or a related field.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using social media platforms for professional purposes.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- A creative mindset with an aptitude for storytelling and engaging content creation.
