About the role

Are you passionate about leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making and contribute to the success of a global top 10 university? We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Market Insight and Data Officer.

Working with the Market Insight and Data Manager, you will leverage the College’s CRM product to evaluate and make recommendations on the impact of Imperial’s marketing, recruitment, and admissions activities throughout the pre-enrolment journey - contextualised with analysis and insight from a wide range of external sources

What you would be doing

The main objective of the Insight and Data officer is to support the Marketing, Outreach, Admissions and Recruitment (MORA) department, and the University, in making evidence-based decisions. You will use data analysis, insights and reporting to spot trends, identify areas for improvement and monitor performance.

You will be building Business Intelligence products and delivering research that inform market positioning and day-to-day recruitment, marketing and admissions activity. You will provide specialist professional advice and guidance to colleagues within the wider MORA department and deliver their market research and intelligence requirements to ensure our activities are targeted and measured effectively. The role will encompass both UK and international audiences and sector/market-specific insight.

What we are looking for

  • Experience of developing and maintaining Business Intelligence products to inform organisational decision making.
  • Experience of interrogating and analysing large datasets to deliver recommendations and actionable insight.
  • Experience of using both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and reporting on findings in a variety of formats.
  • Experience of proactively improving a process or approach for continuous improvement.
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use judgement and/or adapt in more complex situations.
  • Ability to cultivate successful relationships with key stakeholders and provide an exceptional service through collaboration.

What we can offer you

  • The opportunity to help shape the output and products of a burgeoning Insight team.
  • Support and work alongside world leading academics
  • The opportunity to continue your career at a world-leading institution and be part of our mission to use science for humanity.
  • Access to a range of workplace benefits including a flexible working policy from day one, generous family leave packages, on-site leisure facilities and cycle-to-work scheme.
  • Interest-free season ticket loan schemes for travel.
  • Be part of a diverse, inclusive and collaborative work culture with various staff networks and resources to support your personal and professional wellbeing.

Further information

The department (MORA) have recently moved to our state-of-the-art offices in White City Media Works, which is the heart of the new campus being built in the area. The department operates hybrid working, with the expectation of at least two days in the office.
