We’re currently recruiting self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our existing team on site in Ossett, Wakefield as a Manufacturing Operative within our Despatch Team.
What we’re looking for:
The successful candidate will be hardworking, with a willingness to be part of a team responsible for the storage and despatching of our products to national and international customers. Applicants will need to have a good understanding of English and of basic mathematics. We are also looking for the following attributes and experience:
- A current, valid counterbalance license.
- Familiarity in operating within drive-in racking.
- Experience of pallet picking and unit picking with use of a RDT or Warehouse Scanner.
- Experience of vehicle loading and unloading including paperwork checks.
- Experience of conducting manual stock counts on a regular basis.
- Experience of working to company Standard Operating Procedures ensuring full health and safety compliance.
- A willingness to learn and offer a proactive approach to the role.
- Please note this role also includes a amount of manual handling when loading / processing orders.
The following would also be desirable:
- A current Reach Truck License or alternatively a willingness to complete an FLT conversion course.
- Experience in operating in double-deep racking.
What should you expect:
In your first few days you’ll be introduced to our Health & Safety procedures and receive training on how the department operates. You’ll spend time shadowing your team mates and working closely with your line manager.
The company operates on an annualised hours basis. Employees may occasionally be asked to work a 12 hour shift, to cover absence or holidays.
