We are seeking a Mammographer to join our team at NHS Professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for performing mammographic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care and safety.
Job Responsibilities:
· Ensures that all mammography and ultrasound images are properly labelled with patients’ name, side examined, and date of examination and coded if appropriate. To enter information of the examination into the Radiology Computer System/National Breast Screening Service (NBSS).
· Ensure that identified abnormalities are brought to the attention of clinicians (medical staff/ advanced practitioners etc.) so that images may be reported upon urgently in the patients’ best interest.
· Ensuring that, on completion of examination, the patient/client is informed how they will get their results and when they may leave; arrangements are to be made for transport if necessary.
What you’ll need:
· HCPC registered
· Post graduate certificate in mammography
· 2 years’ experience within a screening and symptomatic service.
In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of
- Relevant Qualifications
- Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
