Bond-a-band Transmissions Ltd is an established, family run, plastic Extrusion Company based in Halifax. We specialise in the manufacture of Polyurethane film, sheet and profile. We are immediately looking to recruit a Machine Operator.
Daily duties will include:
- Setting and operating various extrusion lines/other machinery, including maintenance, cleaning and preparation for production runs
- Maintaining the performance of extruders and other machines as/when required, reporting any faults or issues to a supervisor
- Quality/Visual inspection of the product and rectifying or reporting any major discrepancies to supervisor
- Following all the relevant documentation from production and specification sheets
- Working as a team to ensure customer deadlines are achieved whilst ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.
Candidate must:
- Be punctual and eager to learn
- Be computer literate (windows based)
- Be physically fit, able to lift up to 25kgs
- Be flexible and able to accommodate shift patterns - see below
Experience in Manufacturing/Plastics/Extrusion/Engineering/Fabrication would be a major advantage; however, we are essentially looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and willing to expand their skill set within a small hardworking team.
We work a rotating shift pattern;
Week 1 DAYS: 6.00am – 6.15pm, Monday-Wednesday
Week 2 NIGHTS: 6.00pm – 6.15am, Monday-Thursday (AM)
Applicants must be flexible to adapt shifts to company requirements we regularly extend the working week into Thursday to meet customer demand.
Immediate starts are available for the right candidates, all training will be provided. Own transport preferable due to location and shift work. Salary negotiable depending on experience.
