Total Paid Hours: 58.75 per week
Hourly Rate: £12.40 (from April 2024, new rate for April 2025 to be agreed)
Annual Salary: £37,908

A quick look at the role
Reporting directly to the Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mobile plant, including a 360 excavator and a dozer, as well as housekeeping, basic maintenance, and record-keeping activities. All tasks must be carried out in compliance with site licences, PPC Permits, and health and safety legislation.
Your core responsibilities
- Operate mobile plant, including a 360 excavator and a dozer
- Stockpile materials, feed the process plant, store finished products, and load outgoing vehicles
- Carry out housekeeping and basic maintenance activities as directed by the Foreman and Site Manager
- Complete daily operations and regular inspections of site infrastructure
- Control vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely in all internal areas
- Liaise with BWS and external hauliers to ensure timely dispatch of materials from site
- Support site management in minimising downtime and maximising throughput by ensuring timely supply of consumables
