We are looking for a lunchtime and kitchen assistant to join our busy nursery team:
· Assisting children with self-care, such as handwashing, putting coats on and off
· Helping out serving and delivering meal and snack times
· Undertaking training including Food Hygiene and Food Allergens. Assisting where needed in the kitchen, washing up, preparing snacks and tidying away
· Assisting staff setting up rooms for the children, including but not limited to mixing paints and making beds for sleep time
· Working with small groups of children to carry out activities such as jigsaw puzzles, indoor and outdoor games, art work
· Engaging with children in imaginative role play
· Carrying out activities with the children such as reading books, singing and dancing
· Cleaning rooms and toys after activities and in line with nursery policy
· To promote the development of children in your care with emphasis on the areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
You do not need a childcare or Food preparation qualification for this role but a genuine interest in working with children is needed. Please note that this is not a term time only role and the nursery is open for 51 weeks per year. Hours of work are 11:30am- 2:30pm daily
