As part of the Amcomri Group, we work with major rolling stock manufacturers and operators across the UK and internationally. We are looking for a dedicated Logistics Operative to join us in our mission to provide excellent logistical support and ensure the smooth operation of our production processes.
The Role:
As a Logistics Operative, you will be a vital part of our logistics and operations team, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of goods within the business. From unloading and inspecting incoming goods to providing a reliable delivery service, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of materials and ensuring that our production teams have everything they need to operate smoothly. You will also be responsible for general maintenance tasks around the warehouse, ensuring that our facilities remain in good condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload, unpack, and inspect goods received, ensuring they are free from damage.
- Package and load goods for despatch onto transport vehicles in an efficient manner.
- Support production areas with the movement of products as needed.
- Provide a professional collection and delivery service using company vehicle, ensuring goods are delivered promptly and safely.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.
- Effectively manage waste materials, ensuring proper disposal in the designated containers.
- Accurately input data into the computer system and handle service administration related to logistics activities.
- Carry out general maintenance and facilities support tasks to ensure operational efficiency, including PAT Testing.

Desirable Experience & Skills:
· Valid Forklift Truck licence.
- Clean UK Driving Licence, Minimum 5 years driving experience
- Knowledge of manual handling techniques.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and administrative tasks.
