This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive and well established multi disciplinary team delivering high quality care to children and young people with both general paediatric and metabolic conditions. The postholder will contribute to the regional development of the metabolic service across the East Midlands, alongside delivering consultant-led general paediatric inpatient and outpatient care.

Provide inpatient and outpatient care to children with inherited metabolic disorders, working alongside a multidisciplinary metabolic team and in partnership with regional colleagues in Leicester.
Contribute to the general paediatric service including:
Outpatient general paediatric and rapid access clinics
Participation in the acute paediatric on-call and out-of-hours rota (including evenings and weekends)
Vetting of GP referrals and provision of advice & guidance
Attend and contribute to weekly metabolic MDTs, ward reviews, and clinical meetings.
Support the delivery of high-quality medical education for undergraduates and postgraduates.
Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement, service development and clinical governance.
Collaborate with consultant colleagues to ensure seamless, safe, and timely care for all paediatric patients.
