Job Title: Live-In Carer

Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate live-in carer to provide high-quality support to clients in the comfort of their own homes. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, ensuring safety and well-being, and offering companionship to enhance the client’s quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Personal Care:
- Assist with daily hygiene routines, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support with toileting and continence management.
- Help with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment where necessary.
2. Household Support:
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals according to the client’s dietary needs.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying.
- Assist with shopping and errands as required.
3. Health and Medication:
- Prompt and assist with medication as prescribed.
- Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, or overall well-being to family or healthcare professionals.
- Provide first aid if necessary, following appropriate training.
4. Emotional and Social Support:
- Offer companionship and engage the client in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Encourage independence where possible, while providing the necessary support.
- Accompany clients to appointments, social events, or outings as needed.
5. Safety and Well-Being:
- Ensure the client’s living environment is safe, clean, and comfortable.
- Follow care plans and risk assessments to minimize hazards.
6. Communication and Documentation:
- Maintain clear communication with family members and healthcare professionals.
- Keep accurate records of daily activities, care provided, and any observations or concerns.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful of clients’ dignity and independence.
Additional Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK.
- DBS clearance.
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the client.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
