We are seeking a compassionate, experienced live-in carer to provide 24-hour support to a lady with dementia on an ad hoc basis, typically 1 week per month, when her daughter is away.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour supervision and companionship
- Support with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
- Meal preparation and medication reminders
- Light housekeeping
- Ensure a safe, calm environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care role (live-in care experience preferred).
- Experience with dementia care essential
- Must be reliable, patient, and kind
- A compassionate, patient, and respectful nature.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Clear enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (desirable but not essential).
- Full UK driving licence .
