Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Line Leader to oversee our fruit production line. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety protocols, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to lead a team effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring that production runs smoothly while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the production line team to ensure efficient operations.
- Packing of fresh produce
- Ensure all orders are correct and that daily targets are met
- Ensure the correct packaging of all produce as effectively as possible
- Achieve budgeted efficiency targets and customer service targets as measured by: Customer feedback, Traceability and Site specifications.
- Minimise the waste of fruit and packaging
- Maintain and improve BRC and Food safety hygiene standards across the whole site
- Work efficiently as part of a team and have a working towards the same goal attitude, being flexible and able to assist when needed
- Ensure 100% compliance for Food Hygiene, GDPR Legislation, Health and Safety, Environmental Health Legislation, Modern Slavery and HR policies and procedures
- Implement and uphold HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) standards throughout the production process.
- Train new team members on packing processes, safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Ensure that all team members adhere to health and safety regulations while on the production floor.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a food production environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of HACCP principles and food safety regulations.
- Mechanical knowledge related to food processing equipment is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of production.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Fruit growing is 7 days a week and is seasonal in nature so the successful candidate will be required to work flexibly around the needs of the business
