We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our school team.
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic person to join our team of Learning Support Assistants to assist and support students with special educational needs and intimate medical needs.
Duties will include:
- Working with individual or small groups of students under the direction of the teaching staff
- Supporting activities which enhance numeracy and literacy skills
- Monitoring and recording student activities as appropriate
- Establish positive relationships with the students being supported
- Promoting positive student behaviour
- Intimate care needs for students
- Attending relevant school meetings as required

The school is situated close to areas of natural beauty on the Essex/Suffolk border. We have a comprehensive intake who travel from a wide area around: we are consistently oversubscribed.

Following our recent Section 5 Full Ofsted Inspection In January 2025, Manningtree High School has been rated ‘Good’ in all four key areas - Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, and Leadership and Management. The inspection judged safeguarding to be effective, Ofsted referenced that students are safe, and adults had their best interests at the forefront of their thinking.
