Overview
Labour Support Assistant/Driver required to join our busy team and provide support to our Fire & Flood Technicians. Based in our Bridgeton depot but will be required to work in various locations throughout the country (transport will be provided)
The successful candidate must have;-
- Labouring experience
- Willing to work as part of a team
- Willing to learn
- Able to work away from home on a rotational basis (Transport, Accommodation and expenses paid)
- Willing to work overtime when required
- Willing to undertake a full Criminal Disclosure check
- Have good communication skills, both written and oral
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle.
- Safely operate vehicles
- Follow Health & safety Procedures at all times
Requirements
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Attention to detail in completing paperwork accurately.
- Physical stamina for the job is essential . loading/unloading Items as required.
The successful candidate will join the team initially in a temporary capacity with a view to becoming permanent. There is also the opportunity to work towards achieving a recognised accreditation as a permanent Fire & Flood Technician
Joining salary will be depending on age and experience but will meet national minimum wage and will be reviewed annually. There is also a performance related bonus scheme.
