Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, ensuring that all ingredients are ready for cooking.
- Support cooks and other kitchen staff by keeping the kitchen stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling protocols are followed.
- Clean kitchen appliances, surfaces, and floors to maintain a hygienic working environment.
- Help with the delivery of food items to various areas within the establishment as required.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
Skills
- Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant setting is advantageous but not essential.
- A keen interest in food preparation and culinary practices is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
