Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the chefs and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and utensils
- Support chefs during service by ensuring all necessary ingredients and equipment are readily available
- Help with the storage of food items in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Assist in maintaining kitchen hygiene standards and adhering to food safety protocols
- Participate in the cleaning of kitchen equipment and appliances after use
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not essential
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills is advantageous
- A background in hospitality or culinary arts will be considered a plus
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
