The Mill, one of Lurgan's most respected cafés is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter/All-Rounder to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen and Front of House staff by ensuring cleanliness and organisation across all areas of the business.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and main café area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or cooks.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use
- Support Front of House staff during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed, such as running tables, clearing tables and taking orders
- Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure recycling practices are followed.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential.
- A keen interest in food preparation and customer service.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
Our opening hours are 9am - 3.30pm every day and this job would generally be 11am-4pm four days a week.
Part time - 20 hours
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
