Job Summary
We are looking for a flexible reliable and passionate Cook to join our cafe team for two days a week to cover a maternity leave (no evening work). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a keen understanding of food safety practices.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen equipment operation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation.
- A passion for cooking and creating high-quality dishes that follow standards.
