We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and meal service, ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and marinating food items.
- Support chefs with cooking tasks, ensuring that meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces.
- Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Help with serving meals to customers and ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable.
- Participate in stock management by assisting with inventory checks and reporting any shortages.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not essential.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
